It takes a lot of work to make something simple.

After every outage the illusion is that during the postmortem analysis, we gain some insight on how to prevent new outages. This happens only in the most trivial cases; otherwise different incidents are very different, and the only true lesson is to lower the infra complexity.

Complexity is like energy. It cannot be created or destroyed, only moved somewhere else.
